Our Partners

A very special thank you to some of the people who have helped us along the way to start to achieve our dream of a boutique rental business at Hall Farm Dadlington.  In no particular order…..

Eddie & Carol Smallwood

What can we say?  From our arrival at Hall Farm as ‘city dwellers’, Eddie & his late wife Carol took us under their wing and really showed us the rural ropes.  From allotments, to chain saws, from log splitting to hen herding, mowing to rotivating, we literally could not have made the progress we have made without them.  The laughs and the worries have been accompanied by the “Eddie & Carol School of Training”, in which we have to say we did not achieve a merit in all certificates!  Carol’s log stacking training and her passion for cultivating will never be forgotten.

We thank them both from the very bottom of our hearts.

Build & Finish by Paul Harley Building Contractor

From the outset Paul has been amazing with his ideas and implementation of our conversion.  On a journey like this with an old building (and a demanding client!) it is so important to have a sympathetic & flexible contractor and we could not have asked for more.  Paul handled every aspect of the project management and build right down to creating some bespoke furniture.  His attention to detail and passion are unrivalled and we could not be happier with the finished job.  On to the next – it never ends at Hall Farm.

Website by TheWebSmiths

Steve at TheWebSmiths is our “rock” Website Developer offering domain management, website design, development & build, ecommerce solutions, secure web hosting and search engine optimisation.  Steve has created a site of which we are very proud and we think showcases Hall Farm perfectly.  We cannot thank him enough for his patience and level of support.

Design & Planning by Haywards Architects

Lee & Chris have been brilliant, listening to our ever changing plans for this listed property and narrowing it down to the first conversion.  They handled the entire planning process on our behalf which is not an easy task with the a listed site.  When created an interior in such a compact space as The Old Tractor Shed, having the experience and inspiration that Chris offered was great.  Sadly Covid marred interim site visits, but we hope that when they see the big reveal they will be happy that we have done their design justice.  We love it!

Flowers by The Flower House

A little closer to home, The Flower House is actually resident at Hall Farm.  This unique and inspirational studio florist is on hand for guests wanting bespoke floral design packages to enhance their stay or celebration.  Serena has te most incredible talent and a unique gift to read the client brief and deliver more than their expectations.

If you want to make your stay at the The Old Tractor Shed even more special with some bespoke blooms, just get in touch or email Serena directly at hello@theflowerhousehf.co.uk.  You can visit her website below for non-guest enquiries.

Painting & Decorating by Platinum Improvements

Sam & Jim are experts in decorating and particularly spraying which has given The Old Tractor Shed its remarkable and impeccable finish. They were flexible enough to book in the works for each of our stages to ensure that jobs were completed with the minimum of fuss and to maximise time for other contractors.  We are delighted with the finished project and highly recommend Platinum Improvements for anyone needing a decorating team.

Heritage Guidance by Trigpoint Conservation & Planning

Working with a listed site has its complications and Stephen Bradwell at Trigpoint stepped in in the early planning stages to help us to understand the possibilities and to navigate the planning process.  Hall Farm is a significant historic asset and, as such, we have a duty to coax it into the modern word with a sympathetic nudge.  Stephen was extremely helpful with his expertise and we thank him very much for his part in obtaining planning approval.

Building Control by TOP Building Control

Thanks to Simon Wardle and Neal Basford for their help and guidance with everything building-wise.
