How many guests can stay at the farm?

Each of our three self catering properties has a maximum occupancy of two guests for all standard bookings.  We do have the capability to accommodate up to 12 guests for special occasions and for full venue hire – contact Kate hello@hallfarmdadlington.co.uk

Do you accept dogs?

Unfortunately we cannot yet accommodate your four legged friends at Hall Farm.  As dog lovers ourselves, we have 4 dogs on site and we feel that it is a more relaxing environment if guests do not bring dogs.

What are the check in and check out times?

Check in for all our properties is any time from 3pn.  Check out is before 10am.

Can I have an early check in and a late check out?

We would love to accomoodate however we drain all ho tubs between each guest stay and perform a full clean of each property and outdoor space.  Much of the time we are fully booked and so we do have to start draining the tubs by 10am to stay on schedule for the next check ins.

What’s the minimum stay?

Our usual minimum stay is 2 nights.  This gives guests a full day to relax and enjoy their stay.  Occasionally we release single nights during quieter periods or when a night is left between bookings.  For these single night stays the check in and check out times remain the same at 3pm earliest and 10am latest.  We perform the same lengthy cleaning tasks and hot tub drains and have to stay on schedule for the next guests arriving.

How private is The Old Tractor Shed as we would like total isolation?

The Old Tractor Shed is on the edge of our farm set high on the edge of a former gravel pit turned nature reserve, and is accessed by a private gate.  The space is separated at the rear from the rest of the farm by a high wall and fence.  Once guests are inside the gate, the space is entirely theirs for the stay with far reaching views to the front, over the bottom of the village and miles of open Leicesershire countryside.  Whilst we aim to be discreet and to leave guests to relax in privacy, sometimes not seeing them at all, it is not totally “isolated”, as guests may see us from time to time coming and going in the fields, bringing in horses, feeding sheep and doing general farm duties.  The car park is shared space so occasionally cars come and go to delvier to the farm.

How close is the nearest shop?

The nearest village store is in Stoke Golding and is approximately 1.1 miles away (15 minute walk).  Semhbi Stores is a newsagent, convenience store and off licence but has limited opening times so may be best to check online before setting off.  There are also two convenience stores as you arrive in Hinckley at One Stop on Stoke Road and Best One on Wykin Road – both have long opening hours.  We also have a great Co-op 3.8 miles away at LE10 3BZ near to the Triumph Visitor Centre.

Morrisons is the nearest supermarket approximately 2.3 miles towards Hinckley, and the town also offers Sainsburys, Tesco, Lidl, Aldi and Asda stores too.

I am booking for a birthday surprise, can you help with setting up the surprise for my partner?

Yes of course.  We specialise in creating experiences and love helping with a surprise!  From rose petals to fizz, from balloons to banners, from birthday cakes to marriage proposals, just pop me an email to kate@hallfarmdadlington.co.uk and I will work with you to create the perfect setting.

How far is the nearest pub?

Our nearest pubs are The George & Dragon and the Three Horseshoes (please check opening times and food availability).  The Goerge & Dragon is a traditional English pub with real ales and bar snakcs as well as full meals on certain days.  The Three Horseshoes is a village pub with sports TV where you can watch matches  and play pool.  It also hosts The Mango Tree Indian Cuisine at the back of the building.  Sutton Cheney is a short drive away (or a 30 minute walk in daylight) and is home to the Hercules Revived offering a gastro pub experience with an outdoor pizza area – my personal favourite!

Take a look at the Gastro Tour page for my recommendations and lots more foodie info.

Do you allow smoking in the property?

All our properties have a strict no smoking policy and smoke alarms are fitted in the properties for your safety.  we do ask that guests who smoke in the outdoor space of each property do not throw cigarette buts into our fields or onto our patios and gardens.  Please dispose of smoking material safely and responsibly.

Do you have a restaurant or cafe on site?

We currently do not have catering facilities on site.  Each property offers a fully equipped kitchen and BBQ for guests to cook, and there are a host of pubs and eateries within a short distance.  We can provide breakfast hampers of locally sourced items, and please feel free to contact us if you have a specific package in mind such as a treats hamper.  We will do our very best to accommodate all requests.

The nearest cafe is Sutton Wharf which guests can access via a 20 minute walk along the canal tow path or a shorter walk via road.  It’s about 2 minutes by car.

Do you offer accommodation for families with children?

We currently do not offer accommodation to children due to the nature of our farm site. As we develop our rental portfolio, we may change our policy, but for now our policy is over 18s.

Do you offer a concierge service?

We can offer as much, or as little, as you need to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as we can.  Some guests prefer total isolation and no contact, whereas other prefer us to book outings and dining, offer interim or daily cleans and ensure the hot tub is always ready.  Whether you just want fresh ice, you like new towels daily or you need us to help with planning your days, just let us know and we can tailor a package for your stay.

Do you have a Covid cleaning procedure in place?

We are committed to the AirBnB 5 Stage Cleaning Plan and we also have out our Covid Policy in place to ensure your safety.

Is the wood fired hot tub easy to use?

Yes, it’s very simple.  The tub will be lit by us ready for your arrival and only needs a couple of logs adding once again that day.  It heats up within 3-4 hours to heat from cold and then the fire should then be let to die out.  You can enjoy the tub in the evening and then replace the insulated cover which keeps it warm into the next morning.  Later on the fire can be relit (for guests requiring help we are more than happy to pop in to do this for you) and the tub will warm up again in under an hour for the afternoon/evening. We will remove ashes and clean the tub after your checkout.  For guests staying longer than 2-3 nights, we can arrange to clean the burner during your stay.

Is there parking on site?

Yes, we have allocated parking  spaces for each of our rentals.  The Old Tractor Shed has spaces signed for 2 cars in our top courtyard.  Fielden’s Folly and The Fuller’;s Shed oth have two spaces at each property and if more cars are needed for special events (by prior permission) there is plenty of parking int eh top courtyard. Cars and their contents are left entirely at owners’ risk.

Is there CCTV at the farm?

Yes, we have CCTV cameras on all our entrances and on the car parking.
