Eating Out or Dining In
Here we have listed a few favourite places for you to try during your stay at Hall Farm Dadlington.
Just a 15 minute stroll down the lane to Stoke Golding, guests will find 3 country pubs. The White Swan is currently under renovation (Nov 2024) and will be reopening soon which is very exciting! Next along the road is the Three Horseshoes, a friendly bustling pub with sports TV, pool and darts and a handy Indian resturant The Manog Tree to the rear. And last but defitinely not least, is the Goerge & Dragon, a traditional timber fronted pub serving real ale and food Tues to Sat lunch times (please check and book).
Whilst the wonderful Dog & Hedgehog opposite our gorgeous little village church of St James is currently closed (Nov 2024) due to the retirement of the landlord, we very much hope that the owner of the building will ensure it reopens soon. Watch this space!
One of our favourite pubs is the Hercules Revived in the next village of Sutton Cheney, just a 3 mnute drive or a longer 40 min walk (we recommend daylight only). Ollie and his team serve delicious gastro-pub style food every day inclduing brunch Saturdays, and you can choose to eat outside under their marquee with patio heaters or inside the coaching in which they’ve beautifully restored with pub dining downstairs and more restaurant feel with larger tables upstairs.
Softleys in Market Bosworth offers a town house fine dining experience with a wonderfully cosy interior right on the market square. As well as their gourmet menu, they offer bucks fizz brunches and afternoon teas.
Another great pub with indoor dining back open, as well as outdoor courtyard tables where you can eat in the sunshine (maybe not in this rainy May!), is Ye Olde Black Horse in Market Bosworth. This traditional pub has a great interior, extensive gastro pub menu and bar.
Bosworth is just a 4pm mile drive so why not enjoy a drink or two and book a cab with K Cars – 07899 743564
Or of course, when you have a spectacular view like the one from Hall Farm, why not dine in or relax with dinner on the patio. With the choice of cooking in the fully fitted kitchen, or perhaps firing up the BBQ you can cook up a feast in your own private accommodation and garden. Or for those of us, who don’t want to cook when we’re away, why not order a takeaway or delivery. You’ll find all the local takeaway info on our Gastro Tour page and don’t forget both Deliveroo and Just Eat now deliver to the farm too.
