For the historians amongst us, our local tour guide, Eddie Smallwood from Legions to Legends, can take you back through time, with fascinating walks and tours of the local area and of course the wonderful Bosworth Battlefield site. You could just wander down to the footpath just a two minute stroll from The Old Tractor Shed and join the Ashby Canal for a towpath meander at your own pace, maybe stopping at a local pub. You can even order your very own copy of the Battlefields & Borderlands Way Book which shows a 42 mile circular walk taking in some fascinating historical locations – you don’t have to cover all 42 miles! Dadlington is just ten minutes by bike from the National Cycling Route 52for experienced cyxclists, so why not bring your bike and take in the fabulous rolling Leicestershire countryside. If you’re not such a cycle enthusiast, you can still set off on one of our Trek hybrid bikes on a shorter route maybe through the villages, with Sutton Cheney to Market Bosworth being a firm favourite.
