An Artist’s Impression

We are so lucky to live in such a special place, perched between the civilisation of the village at the front and the stunning open rural views at the rear, and for a long while we have wanted to provide guests with a map of Hall Farm to show the layout of the properties and the fields.

Having followed the beautiful work of local artist Helen Shipton, commissioning her to create an illustration seemed the perfect option.  Watching Helen create our artwork has been such a joy.  She began by visiting us to look around and take photos of the properties, the views and the layout.  An initial sketch in Helen’s imitable style started the process and gave us a sneak peak into the way Helen can magically create an overview with incredible detail.  Adding the colour was a very exciting moment and the final illustration began to come to life.

 To say we are delighted with the finished artwork is an understatement.  Helen has captured the beauty of the farm in exquisite detail from the Shetlands and horses to the friendly sheep.   The Tractor Shed perched high on the rewilded gravel pit is our flagship rental property with its 6 windows and glass doors showcasing the stunning panoramic views and sunsets.  Further down the farm beside the driveway sit Fielden’s Folly and The Fuller’s Shed with their views across the grazing stretching to the distance, again positioned perfectly for that evening sun.  Whatever the weather, our carefully curated properties are the cosiest gems for a short break away from it all or a romantic hideaway.  The very finest in country living!

Each property has a copy of the illustration with the track and footpath marked showing the walk around the farm, so guests can stroll from their property to meet the animals or onward to the canal and beyond.
